Stability: There are concerns about stability and/or there is a lack of stability data available. These medicines can theoretically be used in MCAs, although use is likely to be off-label.  Mitigation measures may need to be considered.  Keep medicines in MCAs for the shortest time necessary.  Generally, up to 5 weeks maximum unless otherwise specified, or consider up to 8 weeks if the MCA is airtight (sealed). Consider the risk to the individual from potency loss or dose variability, particularly with unsealed devices. Monitor for any changes in therapeutic effect or increased adverse effects after MCA initiation.
Notes: Moisture sensitive medicine. Store in airtight (sealed) MCA. Protect from light. Original packaging may contain desiccant. Mixed results from stability studies but likely supports 5 weeks in sealed MCA when protected from moisture and light.
