Information in this tool is for use by registered healthcare professionals to inform their assessment of the impact of a temperature excursion on a medicine. Our article on Managing temperature excursions will also help users in determining their own local processes and risk assessment procedures in this area.

When medicines have been exposed to conditions outside their product licence, their subsequent use can still be appropriate but is off-label. We include information that is both within and outside the product licence. You can choose to just view only information from the product licence or include our extended data too.

When extended stability data is not available on the fridge tool, we recommend contacting the product's manufacturer directly. They may provide off-label temperature stability data and guidance on whether the product can be stored outside the refrigerator. Additionally, they can advise on any necessary adjustments to the product's expiry date to determine its suitability for continued use.
